Love for Christ and for the Blessed Virgin Mary

The pandemic situation here in the Philippines created many changes in our daily activities. Eighteen (18) months had passed since the Philippines government implemented the series of lockdown and restrictions, and until now the situation is unstable. The most affected activity due to these restrictions is the reception of public masses in Churches. With this, being called apostles of our time and for the love of Christ, we as one community decided to do the online Masses every Sunday and special feast days, so people will be nourished spiritually. The Mass is aired live through Facebook every Sunday at 7:30 in the morning in the community chapel. The recorded online Mass will be shared to the different online platforms by the brothers so many people can participate and pray. People can also post their prayer intentions in the link provided or our FB page: Augustinians of the Assumption, Manila.

Also, last August 14, 2021, in communion with the call of the Holy Father Francis for prayer, a Rosary for Peace was held at 8:00 in the evening. Special prayer intentions were prepared by the Lay- Religious Alliance group which centers on peace, justice, and solidarity to those who are oppressed in the world. This is also our vigil for the Solemnity of the Assumption. The next day, August 15, the Solemn Mass of the Assumption of the Blessed Mother was held in front of the Adveniat house to bless and dedicate the new statue of the Assumption. It is our way of expressing our love for her as our Mother and Guide in this time of the pandemic. The celebration was also attended by the Dominican Sisters of St. Rose of Lima, Passionist brothers, and other friends of the community. A simple breakfast was served after the celebration.

This is the sample online poster for our Online Mass.
