As we continue to fight for the end of the pandemic here in the Philippines, the situation is slowly getting at ease with the increase of Filipinos being vaccinated. But despite the pandemic, we still thrive to search and accompany young men who would like to embrace religious life in our Congregation. Many responded but as months go by others have chosen other paths. As the saying goes: those who persevere, win at the end.
This year, we open once again our doors for those candidates who wanted to experience life at Assumption. This “Come and See” program will help these brave souls to better deepen their discernment and be accompanied by the brothers in the community. Last March 05, 2022, contact Ramon Rivera joined the Pavel community and he was welcome by the brothers headed by the superior of the house, Fr. Ngoa Ya Tshihemba, who will also be his formator. A simple lunch followed after the welcome. during lunch. The Pavel community is composed of Fr. Ngoa, Fr. André Kambale Katsyoto, Br. Mark Vincent Madronero, Br. Alberth Kabosu, and Br. Adan Louie Flores. Ramon hailed from Angeles City, Pampanga, here in Luzon.
Other candidates who will come from the other parts of the Philippines and from other countries are expected to arrive in the coming months. As domestic and international travel were allowed, it is our hope all our candidates will be able to join the community.
